Problem Solving
& Decision Making Skills
Henry Ford was right, but given the right tools, things can be different. If we think of problem solving/decision making in terms of the challenges that all businesses face - e.g. identifying factors critical to success, how to maximise returns, how to best position your offering – then it can be seen as core to the success of any business.
Problem
Business problems usually present a very different sort of challenge to the ones that graduates are equipped for. Business problems generally include more unknowns and “moving parts”, and hence a different set of tools to address.
Solution
This intensive 4-hour, business problem solving “boot camp” gives candidates a toolkit of techniques that they can use straight away. Using outcomes based learning and practical exercises, candidates will gain experience of problem solving tools used in the business world.
By the end of the 4 hours delegates will be able to:
-
Identify and solve business problems in a structured way
-
Leverage problem solving skills they already have
-
Apply more than a dozen problem solving/decision making tools
-
Make good decisions using a methodical process
Who should attend
Any student who wants the tools to leverage their existing problem solving and decision making skills in the business world.
Most people spend more
time and energy going around problems than in trying to solve them ”
