Schools
In July 2010, the Secretary of State for Education stated in a speech that "the purpose of A-levels is to prepare students for university". After the speech, Simply Business Skills immediately challenged Mr. Gove on how this point of view holds up when it was predicted at over 200,000 A-level students would not get a university place that year.
His response was that the best brains in the party (Vince Cable and David Willetts) were already working on that very issue.
Bottom line is that whether your students progress to universities (which all want employable students), or straight into the workplace (by choice or necessity), equipping them employability skills is both essential for their success and for differentiating your school. For schools we provide the following options:
1. On-site Workshops
Intensive workshops - facilitated by real-world business people - teaching
the employability skills identified by the CBI and UUK as being most lacking
in new graduates. The 10 workshops are
delivered on-site at your school and at times to fit in with your
timetable.
